Lucid Report has been selected to participate in the Buy Australian AI Partnership, an initiative delivered by Stone & Chalk and supported by the Australian Government through the National AI Centre.

The programme is designed to help Australian AI companies better understand how large organisations evaluate, procure, govern and deploy AI, while creating stronger pathways between local technology companies and enterprise buyers. Its first intake is focused on financial services, with participation from major Australian financial institutions. Department of Industry, Science & Resources

For Lucid, the opportunity is particularly relevant.

Lucid is an Australian decision-intelligence platform built to help people and organisations understand change in the external world. It brings together news, regulatory information, company intelligence and other external signals, then helps users investigate what matters, preserve the underlying evidence and continuously monitor areas important to them.

Rather than treating AI as a replacement for judgement, Lucid is being built around a different premise: help people detect change earlier, understand it with better context, and make more defensible decisions without losing sight of where the information came from.

Financial services provides a demanding environment in which to test that approach.

Banks, insurers, fintechs, advisers and other financial organisations operate across changing regulation, market conditions, emerging risks and large volumes of external information. They also face high expectations around governance, security, explainability and responsible use of AI.

Lucid's growing Australian intelligence layer already includes regulatory and company information alongside broader news and event intelligence. Persistent Signals can then monitor defined areas over time, distinguish meaningful change from repeated information, and retain the evidence behind what is surfaced.

The Buy Australian AI Partnership will give Lucid an opportunity to test that direction against real enterprise requirements rather than building from assumptions alone.

For us, this is an encouraging signal rather than a finish line. Lucid is still early, and there is plenty left to prove. The value of the programme is the opportunity to learn directly from organisations operating at enterprise scale, understand what trusted external intelligence needs to look like in practice, and use that feedback to build something genuinely useful.Dan Sealey, Founder, Lucid Report

The programme also addresses a broader challenge for Australia's technology sector. Local AI capability is growing quickly, but commercial scale depends on

Australian companies being able to navigate enterprise procurement and turn technical capability into products that organisations can confidently adopt. The Buy Australian AI Partnership was established specifically to help bridge that gap. Department of Industry, Science & ResourcesFor Lucid, the immediate goal is simple: listen, test, learn and keep building.

Being selected is an opportunity to pressure-test the product against some of the environments where trustworthy intelligence matters most, and to deepen Lucid's understanding of how evidence-backed, Australian-built AI can create practical value inside large organisations.

More to come.
